On March 15, 21 experts from six manufacturing companies, four user enterprises, and two testing organizations across the country gathered in Xiangtan to discuss the new industry standards for electrolytic manganese dioxide used in batteries. China’s battery industry is transitioning from a major battery manufacturer to a global powerhouse. To enhance the competitiveness of relevant enterprises in both domestic and international markets, the experts proposed revising certain parts of the original industry technical standards established in 2004. Xiangtan Electrochemical Technology Co., Ltd., one of the leading organizations of the expert panel, suggested making revisions from two aspects: the technical specifications for electrolytic manganese dioxide and the methods for its testing. The company hopes that the new industry standards will promote high-quality development of China’s battery industry.
