— The Electrochemical Group Participates in the Party Building Knowledge Competition for State-Owned Enterprises in Xiangtan City
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and to pay tribute to the Party’s centenary, on May 25, the SASAC of Xiangtan City held the finals of a Party history knowledge competition themed “Reviving the Centennial History of the Party and Gathering the Strength to Forge Ahead” in the International Conference Hall on the third floor of the Huayu Grand Hotel. A total of 10 participating teams from provincial-level enterprises and state-owned enterprises directly under the city took part in the competition. He Gan from the Party branch of the Thermal Power Sub-plant, Yang Long from the Party branch of Shareholding No. 1, and Hu Yuezhi from the Party branch of the Wastewater Treatment Company formed the Electrochemical Group’s representative team for this competition. Comrade Wang Jiong, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Electrochemical Group, led the Electrochemical Group’s contingent to attend the competition event.
The finals of the Party History Knowledge Competition for the state-owned assets system in Xiangtan City consisted of four rounds: mandatory questions, buzzer questions, challenge questions, and risk questions. In the mandatory-question round, all teams were well-prepared and the scores were extremely close. The thrilling buzzer-round was truly a case of "a hair's breadth difference can mean a world of disparity"—the speed at which team members pressed the buzzer, measured in microseconds, quickly created significant gaps and repeatedly brought the competition to a fever pitch. The innovative challenge questions left the audience utterly amazed: within 90 seconds, teams had to answer 20 questions. As soon as each question was displayed, team members swiftly blurted out their answers, earning wave after wave of applause from the audience. This round thoroughly tested the contestants' mastery of knowledge and their quick reflexes. During the risk-question round, the Electrochemical Group’s team twice accepted 40-point questions thrown by their opponents. With their teammates working together seamlessly, the Electrochemical Group maintained a firm lead throughout all four rounds and ultimately clinched first place in the finals with a total score of 420 points. Comrade Wang Liqun, leader of the Eighth Touring Group for Party History Education and a first-level researcher at the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, presented the Electrochemical Group’s team with the first-place honor medal.
By participating in the Party history knowledge competition and diligently studying Party history, we have gained a deeper understanding of the power of its guiding ideology and strived to fully implement the overarching requirements of “studying Party history to gain clarity, build confidence, uphold moral integrity, and put knowledge into practice.” This has further ignited the enthusiasm of Party members and cadres for learning Party history, deepened their profound understanding of Party history, the Party Constitution, and Party discipline, and strengthened the outcomes of Party history education. At the same time, it has reinforced Party members and cadres’ unwavering commitment to the Party’s ideals and beliefs. Moving forward, they will proactively transform their learning achievements into motivation for their work, adding luster to the Party flag and setting an exemplary example for the masses.
