Recently, Xiangtan City Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd. conducted a special drill on fire hoses and an emergency response exercise for the safety of special equipment.
In the morning, the Heling Plant of the wastewater treatment company conducted a specialized, real-life drill focusing on fire hose operations. As soon as the command was given, the participating personnel quickly divided into groups and, while running, completed the laying out of fire hoses and precisely connected the nozzle heads. During the drill, simulated emergencies such as hose connector detachment and localized damage were staged. Relying on their solid skills, the participants swiftly carried out emergency repairs.
That same afternoon, the Hexi Wastewater Treatment Plant of the wastewater treatment company, in collaboration with the Operations Department, conducted a special equipment safety emergency drill. The drill simulated an emergency scenario in which maintenance personnel were performing lifting and repair work at a pumping station when the crane’s remote control suddenly went out of control, causing the suspended load to fall and strike a maintenance worker’s leg. At the moment the accident occurred, the central control safety officer immediately reported the incident to the plant director of the Hexi Plant, while the safety officer from the Operations Center simultaneously notified the head of the Operations Department. The plant director of the Hexi Plant swiftly activated the emergency response plan, directing the rescue team to cordon off the site and stabilize the equipment. Meanwhile, the medical team quickly provided first aid to the injured worker by treating the wound and applying a leg immobilization bandage, and promptly transported him to the hospital for further treatment. Throughout the entire emergency response process, the situation was handled in a tense yet orderly manner, with seamless coordination among all relevant parties, fully demonstrating the team’s highly efficient emergency response capabilities and effectively verifying the scientific validity and practicality of the emergency plan.
