To enhance their ability to respond to emergencies and improve the overall quality of the militia, on May 11, 50 militia members from Xiangtan Electrochemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) formed a comprehensive emergency rescue team and began a 13-day comprehensive emergency training exercise.
This comprehensive emergency training is conducted in two phases. In the first phase, instructors from the city’s military sub-district training team and firefighters from the Heling Fire Rescue Station in Yuhu District deliver the instruction. The content covers drill formations, forest fire prevention, counter-terrorism and anti-riot measures, flood control and disaster relief, fire drills, as well as how to use firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire-fighting blowers, fire hoses, and chainsaws. The second phase involves conducting comprehensive emergency training tailored to the actual conditions of the company’s production facilities. To ensure effective training and fully prepare for various fire scenarios that may occur at the company, the comprehensive emergency rescue team is divided into four groups: the Fire Extinguisher Group, the Fire Blower Group, the Fire Hose Group, and the Rescue Group. During the training, these four groups work closely together in perfect coordination. All members of each group strictly adhere to the training requirements, maintain strict discipline, train diligently, and obey command. With a strong sense of political responsibility and urgency, they fully recognize the necessity and importance of this training.
To evaluate the results of the 13-day training, at 3 p.m. on May 27, more than 60 personnel from the Yuhu Fire and Rescue Brigade, the district’s Armed Forces Department Emergency Response Team, and the company’s emergency rescue team conducted a joint fire drill at the Heling Branch Office. Throughout the drill, Gong Zhengjun, Director of the District Armed Forces Department; Ding Shuyan, Director of the District Emergency Management Bureau; Su Lijun, Deputy Commander of the District Fire and Rescue Brigade; and the leadership of the Heling Branch Office closely observed and provided guidance. After the pre-prepared fire points were ignited, the company’s emergency rescue team quickly sprang into action, swiftly rushing to the fire sites according to their assigned roles and carrying out firefighting operations with clean and efficient movements. Thanks to the seamless cooperation among the Yuhu Fire and Rescue Brigade, the district’s Armed Forces Department Emergency Response Team, and the company’s emergency rescue team, they successfully extinguished the fire and rescued the injured individuals who had been trapped. At the conclusion of the drill, the company’s comprehensive emergency rescue team achieved the expected results and received high praise from the leaders present at the scene.
The company’s integrated emergency rescue team is a highly qualified, rapidly mobilized, and combat-effective unit. While staying firmly rooted in their respective positions, they fully leverage their dual identity as both “civilians” and “soldiers,” demonstrating a spirit of resilience and relentless determination as they actively engage in the company’s production and construction efforts. When the company needs them most, they step forward bravely to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure its continued development.
