    • The Trade Union of the Electrochemical Group held a celebration event to mark International Women’s Day (March 8) and a commendation ceremony for the “Furong Cup” competition aimed at recognizing female employees who have met the required standards of competence.

    　　At 9:00 a.m. on March 9, 2020, the commendation meeting celebrating International Women’s Day (March 8) and the “Furong Cup” Competition for Women Employees’ Quality Standards was held in the large conference room on the third floor of the Heling Branch of Xiangtan Electrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. Attending the meeting were Zhong Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Xiangtan Electrochemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Electrochemical Group”), Zhang Shunhui, Director of the Electrochemical Group’s Trade Union, and Tang Miao, Deputy Director of the Women’s Work Committee. Also in attendance were members of the Women Workers’ Committee, representatives from the “Five-Good Families,” and representatives from the Furong Model Posts.

    　　At the meeting, Tang Miao, Deputy Director of the Women’s Committee of the Electrochemical Group, summarized the work done by female workers in 2019. In 2019, with the care and support from Party, government, and trade union organizations at all levels, the Women’s Committee closely focused on the central working guidelines set forth by the Party Committee of the Electrochemical Group. It actively guided and encouraged female employees to take their posts and achieve outstanding accomplishments in the “three civilizations” construction within their workplaces, while meticulously organizing various activities that were both contemporary and tailored to the characteristics of female workers. In 2020, the Women’s Committee will actively launch the “Join Hands to Fight the Epidemic, Move Forward with Warmth” campaign, standing together with the enterprise to overcome these difficult times and showcasing the remarkable spirit of women in the new era. During the meeting, Zhang Shunhui, Director of the Trade Union, read out the "Decision on Commending the 'Furong Hundred-Post Stars,' 'March 8th Red Banner Holders,' 'Outstanding Female Workers,' 'Five-Good Civilized Families,' and 'Furong Model Posts' for 2019."

    　　Zhong Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Electrochemical Group, delivered the closing remarks. Secretary Zhong fully recognized the outstanding contributions made by the company’s Women’s Working Committee and female employees to the company’s development, and put forward three key requirements. First, he urged the Women’s Working Committee to continue earnestly fulfilling its duties, strengthen team building, and enhance the organization’s cohesion and influence. Second, he encouraged all female employees to fully发挥 their role as the mainstay of the working class—being willing to make selfless contributions and striving for excellence—and to devote themselves to their posts with even greater enthusiasm and high spirits. Third, he called on female employees to be promoters of social civility, caring for their families and dedicating themselves to society. In the new year, they should conscientiously implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on epidemic prevention and control, unite as one, fight against the epidemic, actively address the new challenges brought about by the evolving situation, and continue making greater contributions to the company’s development.
