　　To strengthen the prevention and control efforts against pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus infection, better safeguard the life safety and physical health of employees, and ensure the orderly continuation of production and operations, in accordance with the relevant directives issued by the Party Central Committee, the State Council, as well as provincial and municipal authorities, on January 26, 2020, Xiangtan Electrochemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Electrochemical Group”) assumed its primary responsibility and promptly established a COVID-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, with Comrade Tan Xin Qiao, Chairman of the Board, serving as the group’s leader. The Group required all Party branches, departments, and subsidiaries to firmly implement their respective prevention and control responsibilities. From preparing epidemic prevention supplies and arranging preventive measures to reporting on the epidemic situation, no link could be overlooked, ensuring that prevention and control efforts were both orderly and effective. Under the leadership of the Electrochemical Group’s COVID-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, each subsidiary established emergency response teams, formulated contingency plans, and mobilized all employees to participate actively in prevention and control efforts.

　　In the initial stage, the Material Procurement and Dispatch Center of Xiangtan Electrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. urgently procured 5,000 masks and delivered them to the Heling production base. The company continues to ensure an adequate supply of epidemic prevention materials. Staff from the Administration Department have carried out comprehensive disinfection of public areas including commuter buses, cafeterias, and public rental housing dormitories. More than 80 employees at the subsidiary in Jingxi have been placed under categorized isolation for periods of 7 days and 14 days respectively; after showing no abnormalities, they have resumed normal work. In response to issues such as delayed resumption of work or inability to start operations by some raw material suppliers, as well as the impact on 230 employees whose ability to report to work normally has been affected by village lockdowns in surrounding areas, the company has actively coordinated with relevant departments of the Jingxi municipal government to find solutions and ensure the smooth continuation of enterprise production. Meanwhile, from the headquarters to each branch (subsidiary), from employees on duty to those off duty, and from employees themselves to their family members, daily reports on COVID-19-related situations are submitted to ensure that every employee’s commute to and from work is safe and healthy.

　　In addition, in accordance with the unified arrangements and deployment of the Party Committee of the Electrochemical Group, the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Electrochemical Group responded swiftly and effectively fulfilled its supervisory functions. It urged all party branches and cadre members to shoulder their responsibilities for epidemic prevention and control, and supervised various units to implement daily epidemic prevention measures meticulously and thoroughly. The commission also promoted epidemic prevention and control measures and disseminated scientific knowledge on epidemic prevention, encouraging everyone to neither believe nor spread rumors. During the pandemic, relevant leaders from Xiangtan City personally visited the company’s production facilities to provide guidance and supervision on epidemic prevention efforts.
