    　　On March 29, the 5th Session of the 4th Workers’ Congress of Xiangtan Electrochemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) was solemnly held at the Huayin International Hotel. The meeting was attended by 107 worker representatives from all fronts of the company and 80 attending delegates. Zhong Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Company, presided over the meeting and delivered the opening address.

    　　At the meeting, Tan Xinqiao, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company, delivered an administrative work report titled “Addressing Weaknesses, Focusing on Innovation, Boosting Efficiency, and Striving for High-Quality Development of Xiangtan Electrochemical.” The report comprehensively summarized the company’s work in 2018 and laid out a comprehensive plan for 2019. Chairman Tan pointed out that in 2019, we must accurately grasp the situation—characterized by stability amid change and optimism amid uncertainties—strengthen our sense of potential risks, and remain firmly confident of victory. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, we should firmly establish the new development philosophy, maintain our strategic positioning in industrial development, exude strategic confidence, and strive vigorously for progress. In 2019, the company will further strengthen Party building to ensure that Party leadership drives the company’s all-round development; orient ourselves toward the market and seize market opportunities precisely; address our weaknesses and enhance our core competitiveness; attach great importance to innovation and promote the company’s sustained growth; reinforce management and elevate our management standards; value talent and uphold the right approach to personnel selection, providing intellectual support for the company’s rapid development; ensure safety above all else and strictly enforce safety regulations to safeguard production safety; prioritize environmental protection and resolutely implement the concept of green development; and focus on efficiency, taking efficiency as our guiding principle to enhance the company’s profitability. Chairman Tan called upon all employees to unite closely, face challenges head-on, forge ahead boldly, and become dream-chasers in the new era. Let us strive together to achieve high-quality development of Xiangtan Electrochemical, make new and greater contributions to Xiangtan’s economic and social development, and greet the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China with outstanding achievements!
