    　　On May 31, 2018, the two venues—Xinxing Primary School and Tongxin Kindergarten—in Huru Town, Jingxi City, were filled with laughter and joy, buzzing with excitement. The “Colorful Sunshine—Protecting Children’s Safety on Campus” safe and caring backpack donation event, jointly organized by the Jingxi City Red Cross Society and Jingxi Xiangtan Electrochemical Technology Co., Ltd., was held solemnly at both campuses. Attending the donation event were a delegation of eight people, including Huang, President of the Jingxi City Red Cross Society, Liu Tiezhu, Director of the Jingxi Electrochemical Office, and Zhou Liyi, Deputy Head of the Comprehensive Department.

    　　Around 10 a.m., the donation ceremony at Xinxing Primary School in Huru Town kicked off first. The ceremony was chaired by Principal Feng of the school. After introducing the school’s basic information, she warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked the Jingxi City Red Cross Society and Jingxi Xiangtan Electrochemical Co., Ltd. for their generous donation initiative. She expressed gratitude to the Jingxi City Red Cross Society and Jingxi Electrochemical Company for their care and concern for impoverished children in mountainous areas, and especially acknowledged the long-term strong support that Jingxi Electrochemical has consistently provided to various aspects of the school’s work. Following the school’s donation ceremony, the delegation involved in the donation effort then headed to Tongxin Kindergarten on Xinxing Street to attend the children’s cultural performance and participate in the donation activities.

    　　At the donation ceremony, Chairman Huang of the Jingxi Red Cross delivered an enthusiastic speech. Liu Tiezhu, Director of the Jingxi Electrochemical Office and representative of the donating enterprise, took the stage to speak and remarked: Since Jingxi Xiangtan Electrochemical set up its production base in Jingxi, it has consistently adhered to the development philosophy of Xiangtan Electrochemical Group—“resource-saving and environmentally friendly.” While boosting the local economy and safeguarding Jingxi’s pristine mountains and rivers, the company has also actively fulfilled its social responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise, fostering harmonious coexistence and mutual development with Jingxi and surrounding villages and communities. This “Colorful Sunshine—Protecting Children’s Safety on Campus” safe backpack donation event, jointly organized with the Jingxi City Red Cross, is yet another demonstration of the company’s commitment to social welfare and its sense of corporate responsibility. We hope that through these heart-to-heart, hand-in-hand initiatives, we can bring more care and support to children in impoverished mountainous areas, providing them with active assistance for their healthy growth and happy lives. The activity received unanimous praise from all teachers, students, parents, and members of the community! In the end, the donation event concluded successfully with a joyful and harmonious group photo taken by all participants together with the children.
