    　　On the morning of May 10, Li Jiangnan, Party Secretary and Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Xu Yajian, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Zhu Zhuoying, Party Secretary and Director of the Standing Committee of the YueTang District People’s Congress; Zhou Linghui, a delegate to the 13th National People’s Congress; representatives from the fourth delegation of Xiangtan City, which includes provincial-level delegates; and relevant officials from the Joint Working Committee of the municipal and district standing committees of the People’s Congress, accompanied by Tan XinQiao, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company, visited the Heling production base and Yuneng New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. of the company.

    　　The delegates conducted on-site inspections of the company’s new Heline base and the production facilities of Yuneng New Energy Materials, carefully examining how the enterprise handles and utilizes industrial wastewater, waste residues, and sludge. They listened attentively to Chairman Tan’s work report, gaining a thorough understanding of the company’s efforts in industrial transformation and upgrading as well as its future development plans. Chairman Tan stated that in 2018, the company would further strengthen the construction of environmental protection projects, actively leverage the “assessment” mechanism as a guiding force, intensify internal inspections within the enterprise, and continue advancing reforms in production and operations. Comrade Zhu Zhuoying, Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Yuetang District, praised the company’s successful transformation and upgrading across its three major business areas—production, operations, and financing—since its relocation, noting the remarkable achievements made while maintaining stability and pursuing steady progress. Li Jiangnan, Party Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, remarked that Electrochemical Group has courageously shouldered its social responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise, eliminated outdated production capacity, taken the lead in the battle to protect blue skies, and achieved industry-leading levels in environmental protection investment and construction—qualities that deserve high recognition. He expressed his hope that the delegates, through their firsthand experiences, would carry out effective study activities and substantially enhance public awareness and promotion efforts.
