    　　On May 4, the Youth League Committee of the company held a summary and commendation meeting to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement at the Heling Production Base. The meeting began promptly at 9:00 a.m. Attendees included representatives from the advanced collectives that had been recognized, as well as outstanding Youth League officials, members, and young representatives. Wang Jiong, Deputy General Manager of the Group Corporation, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Zhao Rui, Secretary of the Youth League Committee.

    　　At the meeting, Zhao Rui reviewed the Communist Youth League’s work in 2017 and laid out plans and arrangements for the League’s activities in 2018. He called on Youth League organizations at all levels to closely integrate their work with the company’s actual production and business operations under the guiding principle of “strengthening management, emphasizing innovation, pursuing efficiency, and energetically embarking on a new journey of rapid development for Xiangtan Electrochemical.” He also stressed that the Youth League should fully play its role as an assistant and reserve force as well as a dynamic vanguard of the Party. Furthermore, he highlighted the key priorities for the company’s Youth League in 2018: First, carry out solid education on ideals and convictions, continuously deepening ideological and political work among young people; second, closely align with the overall strategy of enterprise reform and development, and fully leverage the pioneering role of young people; third, consolidate the foundation of Youth League work and continuously enhance the cohesion of League organizations; fourth, actively engage in volunteer activities in line with the goals and requirements of deepening the construction of a nationally civilized city. He emphasized that the coming year is a pivotal one for our company—marking the breakthrough of EMD production capacity beyond 100,000 tons and the full-scale launch of new energy projects. All League members and young employees are urged to take proactive measures, innovate their thinking, and work diligently, striving wholeheartedly to energetically embark on a new journey of rapid development for Electrochemical!

    　　At the meeting, Zhao Rui read out the document “Decision on Commending the 2017 Model Communist Youth League Branches, Outstanding League Cadres, Outstanding Young People, and Outstanding League Members.” During the meeting, two May Fourth Model Communist Youth League branches, 11 outstanding League cadres, 15 outstanding League members, and 24 outstanding young people were commended.

    　　Company leader Wang Jiong delivered an important speech. First, on behalf of the company’s Party Committee, he extended sincere holiday greetings to all young members and youth workers in the company, and acknowledged their hard work and contributions over the past year. He expressed his hope that young members and youth workers would continue to arm themselves with advanced ideas and fully leverage their role as a dynamic force and exemplary leaders. At the same time, he urged all levels of Youth League organizations and Youth League officials to fully perform their functions and truly serve as a bridge and link between the Party and young people. Furthermore, he encouraged all Youth League officials to lead the company’s young members and youth workers to further innovate and practice, to be pioneers in innovation, and to continuously open up new horizons for the Youth League work within our company.
