    　　On March 29, the People's Government of Xiangtan City convened a mobilization and deployment meeting for 2018 environmental protection work and the “Battle Against Pollution.” At the meeting, the Xiangtan City People's Government summarized and commended the environmental protection efforts made by all levels and departments across the city in 2017. The government also urged all levels and departments to continue earnestly implementing the green development philosophy of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," strictly fulfill the requirement of "party and government share joint responsibility and each post carries dual responsibilities" in environmental protection, and steadily advance environmental protection work, further accelerating the pace of ecological civilization construction. Our company is honored to have been recognized as an "Advanced Unit for Environmental Protection Work in Xiangtan City for 2017." In addition, our employees Huang Ke and Hou Yao were awarded the title of "Advanced Individual in Environmental Protection Work for the Entire City."

In 2017, our company rose to the challenge, united as one, and rigorously implemented the environmental protection targets and responsibilities assigned by the municipal government. We successfully completed key projects including the upgrading and retrofitting of boiler flue gas desulfurization and denitrification systems, the comprehensive remediation of the pomelo tree tailings pond, and the integrated treatment of manganese mine wastewater. At the same time, we strengthened our environmental management practices, intensified environmental inspections, and earnestly put in place emergency preparedness measures during special protection periods, ensuring that supporting environmental facilities operated smoothly and that online monitoring data met the required standards. In 2018, we will continue to reinforce our environmental management efforts and increase our investment in environmental protection, ensuring that our environmental performance remains under control and making significant contributions to Xiangtan’s vision of blue skies, clear waters, and an ecologically civilized city.
