    • The Electrochemical Group held a briefing session to study and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

    　　To further study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, resolutely carry out the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, and steadily advance all work at Xiangtan Electrochemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Electrochemical Group”), we have specially invited Comrade Lu Jianchun, a member of the Municipal Party Committee’s Propaganda Team for Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Deputy Minister of the Municipal Party Committee’s Organization Department, and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee’s Committee for New Economic Organizations and New Social Groups, to deliver an on-site lecture on the afternoon of December 14. The meeting was chaired by Comrade Tan XinQiao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Electrochemical Group, and attended by members of the Party Committee and mid-level and higher-ranking management personnel.

    　　At the briefing, Comrade Lu Jianchun focused closely on the “Suggestions” for the 14th Five-Year Plan, which were reviewed and adopted at the plenary session. He provided a thorough and precise analysis from the following perspectives: accurately grasping the historical positioning of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the historical tasks set forth in the “Suggestions” for the 14th Five-Year Plan; precisely understanding the framework structure and core essence of the general part of the “Suggestions”; clearly identifying the two overarching ideological and logical threads embedded in the “Suggestions”; gaining a clear and comprehensive grasp of why the world has entered a period of turbulence and transformation while China’s development remains in an important strategic opportunity period; accurately recognizing and fully embracing the new stage of development; precisely defining and vigorously promoting the construction of a new development pattern; clearly identifying the six key areas that must be well addressed in building this new development pattern; and precisely understanding the eight aspects—namely, enhancing the Party’s ability and level in leading the implementation of the new development philosophy and in constructing the new development pattern—that were comprehensively and systematically elaborated and profoundly explained in light of the spirit of the plenary session.

    　　Subsequently, Comrade Tan Xinjiao pointed out that we should take this briefing as an opportunity to further deepen our study, publicity, and implementation efforts, swiftly sparking a new upsurge within the Electrochemical Group, and guiding all Party members, cadres, and employees to align their thinking and actions with the spirit of the plenary session. He emphasized three key requirements: First, we must study by benchmarking and aligning ourselves. We should vigorously promote the Marxist approach to learning, give full play to the leading role of cadres at all levels, and study the documents of the plenary session and the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping in their original form and with genuine sincerity. We should strive to put what we learn into practice and integrate knowledge with action. Second, we must firmly believe in what we do and act accordingly. We must thoroughly implement and follow through on our commitments, promoting systematic advancement and ensuring meticulous execution. Taking the study and implementation of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session as a driving force, we should coordinate epidemic prevention and control with enterprise development, benchmark against established standards, identify and address shortcomings, make vigorous final pushes, and strive to deliver satisfactory results. This will ensure a successful conclusion to 2020 and a smooth start to 2021, guaranteeing that the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session takes root, blossoms, and bears fruit within our enterprise. Third, we must work with high quality and efficiency, demonstrating leadership and setting exemplary standards. We must lead by example, set a good tone from the top down, be pragmatic and take responsibility seriously, and strive to seize opportunities amid crises and create new prospects amid changing circumstances. Through concrete actions, we must shoulder the significant mission entrusted to our enterprise by the General Secretary and achieve great things in the new era.
